Hot Sheer Swimsuit

Soak up the sun in a hot sheer swimsuit this summer. However, before you head out to the beach and lie down on the sand to tan to your heart’s content, you have to prepare yourself for the onslaught of the summer rays. Here are just a few easy steps to prep your skin before, during, and after soaking up some rays.

Before exposure

*Exfoliating

Before you go out and jump into the skimpiest and sheerest bikini ever, make sure to exfoliate. Removing dead cells not only stimulates the growth of healthier and smoother skin, but it also prepares you to receive a more even tan. Of course, it is also unsightly if you have bumps and scales when you go out in scanty swimwear so make sure to slough these all off before hitting the sandy shores.

*Moisturizing

After exfoliating, it is also a good idea to keep yourself moisturized. Make moisturizing a daily habit so that your skin will be smooth and supple. A smoother complexion also darkens more evenly when the summer season rolls by.

*Stretch mark remedies

A lot of women fight an unending battle against this stubborn nemesis. Some get it after pregnancy while others acquire it when they lose weight. Stretchmarks are actually scars that are very hard to get rid off, but there are some remedies that work to diminish their appearance. Many months prior to the summer season, rub on shea butter on the offending spots. Exfoliating the area also helps stimulate blood flow and cell regeneration. Though it actually takes a surgical or medical procedure to get rid of these silvery scars, with regular application of shea butter, the appearances of these marks can be slightly diminished over time.

During exposure

*Put on sunscreen

While soaking up the rays, it is best to have sunscreen slathered even on those parts covered by your swimsuit. Even if you want an even bronze glow, excessive UV radiation can do more harm than good to you. You can look for a bronzing lotion that also doubles as a sunscreen and lets you soak up rays until you reach your desired hue yet protects you from harmful UV radiation. Time your bronzing period so that you won’t run the risk of getting burns.

*Rehydrate

Keep cool with plenty of liquids such as water and fruit juice. Not only will you avoid dehydration, you will also do your skin a favor.

*After exposure

In the evening, most of the action happens as people come out to party. For the health- conscious you, you need to take care of your complexion first before you go out and have fun. After a bronzing session, you can take a shower to cool off and lower your body temperature. Afterwards, apply cooling body lotion for a soothing effect. If you have
burns, apply medicated cooling lotion to prevent infections. It is also good to moisturize after exposure so your skin will not flake off easily. If you are still not satisfied with your tan and you have to go back to real life immediately, you can even out your color with the use of self-tanning lotions.
